Review:
This book is the third from the Kingdom of Kell series and although it can be read as a stand-alone book, it’s better to be read in the series’ order for better comprehension of the story background.
Jane, the protagonist from the first book in the series, has started a dating agency to find women worthy of the men of Kell willing to live in Kell. Jane would know if she’s found a likely candidate because the Ruby of Worth glows every time a woman like that comes into the dating agency.
After eight women chose other Kell men and pass him by, Melor loses hope.
Every rejection left him feeling bitter and hollow inside.
Deciding to go back to Kell and thinking he would never have a protected (wife), he opens the portal, ready to go. At the same moment an earthquake hits the area; the disturbance of the earth affecting the portal so he instead gets sent to Humboldt Redwood Forest Road.

She takes him home and takes care of him during the night. However, in the morning, her fate is decided once Melor takes one look at her… she and her daughter are going to be his.

Still, Blossom makes her agree to keep him.
“Please, Mom, can we keep him. I really, really like him.”
“Baby, he’s a grown man, not some puppy. We can’t just keep him.”
“I know that. He’s super nice and I bet a hundred times more helpful than Mr. Rickshaw.”
“Pleeeese, Mom, please?” Blossom used every weapon in her arsenal, making her eyes big and watery. She pouted her lip imploringly. It was enough to make even the hardest of hearts melt.
“He can stay just for now, but if he puts one foot wrong, he has to go.”
Soon, Melon makes Summer fall in love with him and gives her his protector’s bracelet which would make her his wife. When Summer trusts him enough, they go to Los Angeles, to Jane, who has healing crystals to cure Summer. Just after Summer is healed and the metal pins in her legs are being rejected by her body when used in conjunction with the Kell crystals, all hell breaks loose.

It has been arranged you will sit here until you see every woman who has come from earth to live here in Kell. You will listen to their stories and of their lives on earth before they met their Kell men. Once their stories are done, you will be returned to earth. What you do with the information is then up to you.
I enjoyed the story, as I enjoyed all of Angela Castle’s books. It was Blue Fire the book I first read and got hooked me on her novels. I loved all the characters, the story; Angela Castle’s style of describing the story will fascinate you and there isn’t cure for that.
I can’t wait to read the next release. 5 couples
