Book Blurb :
Fiona Nelson has always been one hot ticket—even before she took the conversion serum that gave her superhuman abilities. Fiona’s powers come at a price: lack of human contact, or she won’t be the only thing burning. When she loses control of her emotions, her fire powers run rampant…and she’s hurt enough people already.
Including herself.
But when the man behind her conversion returns to blackmail her into helping him gain power, the only person she can turn to is Ian Jones, the man who broke her teenage heart. The man determined to expose the criminal known as Fireball, whose explosive escapades are just a little too close to Fiona’s M.O.
Ian is convinced Fiona’s dangerous, convinced she’s Fireball, and convinced he’ll damn himself if he doesn’t resist a heat that’s always drawn him to Fiona like a moth to a flame—but Ian has his own secrets.
And he’ll learn far too soon what happens when you play with fire.
Review:
Travis Morgan needs a plane ticket to Boston, to go to the semiannual reunion with all his college buddies; however, with two conventions in town, all the seats are booked. When the travel agent takes the call to the manager, Travis is surprised to recognize the voice of Alicia Davis.
They’d competed in their core year for best mark, best performance in the young entrepreneur’s group, and they’d even squared off against each other in the poker pool.
Owning and managing a small fleet of private planes, Alicia is used to power. Divorced, she wants to remove her one regret from her days at college through a night of pure pleasure with Travis. So she gives him a seat, but she wants to have him before the flight.
She’d given him a family pass for the chartered flight to Boston departing in just a few hours, and he’d given her two tickets to the art show, now safely tucked inside her purse.
However, when Travis wakes up after a night with Alicia, the only thing he can find from her is a message:
Too bad you missed the flight. Thanks for the tickets. Now we’re even. Game over.
He decides to give her a lesson by exploiting the feelings of guilt she feels for him to assure a seat in a plane for the next day. He is going to use the attraction she still feels for him to have her again. When Travis thinks she is married, he feels betrayed and leaves her; now the question is: does he want her enough to go back to her once he discovers she is divorced?
This is the first book of Bad Girls Know series. The story is short and I enjoyed reading it, although Alicia seemed a bit unreal because of her holding on to an offense over her rivalry with Travis. 4 couples
