The hotly anticipated third book in the bestselling Bone Season series – a ground-breaking, dystopian fantasy of extraordinary imagination
Following a bloody battle against foes on every side, Paige Mahoney has risen to the dangerous position of Underqueen, ruling over London’s criminal population.
But, having turned her back on Jaxon Hall and with vengeful enemies still at large, the task of stabilising the fractured underworld has never seemed so challenging.
After finally reading The Mime Order to the end finally , I knew I had to dive in to The Song Rising. I wasn’t waiting for the next book and hoping it would follow the publication schedule we were all expecting. I had waited for this book too long like many others and I had high expectations. However still I was blow away and fell in love with Paige and the others all over again in a total different way .
Readers won’t be disappointed, Shannon manages to drag us right back in the midst of things as we never left but never placid us . It the usual business for Paige Mahoney. We seen her through thick and thin and remain alive barely. In two books we have seen her become stronger and wise yet nevertheless determined in her cause that has driven her.
However this book, took things even further. Forget what you expect, as this action pack book will take you places where you think it would never would go leaving you questioning ever single move. It gives you the feels basically
Shannon took this book where I expected yet it wasn’t .Despite being a young author, she has the maturity in her writing of someone who has been around for a while and she constantly improves on that. The result was addicting adventure that never let up. She can easily slip into slight shifts of sub genres but remain true to the core genre and the result was stunning.
Whilst I’m glad I got my hands on a book early and I was able to temporary satisfy the craving for Shannon’s words. I can’t feel disappointed that I can’t experience this book again for the first time and have to wait to experience this feeling and the feels for a number of months. If you thought the first two books were good. Get ready for your mind to be blown again.
There a lot I could have said but decided not to say. However it is worth the wait and please do yourself a favour and buy this book. Shannon did justice for Paige and her story by waiting for so long and don’t be discourage by the length of the book. Ever single of those pages will deliver enough to forget and make you love Paige, Warden and the others just a little bit more .
